Industry Financial Analysis Training

We've been teaching real financial analysis skills since 2018. The kind that companies actually need when they're trying to make sense of industry trends and market movements. This isn't theoretical stuff—it's what analysts use day-to-day when there's actual money on the line.

Most people who come through our programs are already working in finance or adjacent fields. They just want to get better at spotting patterns, understanding sector dynamics, and making recommendations that hold up under scrutiny.

Financial analysis workspace with industry data and market research materials

Three Learning Tracks

Different starting points depending on where you are now. Some people need fundamentals. Others want to dive straight into sector-specific work. Pick what makes sense for your situation.

Foundation Track

16 weeks

Basics of financial statement analysis, industry comparison methods, and how to actually read what companies are telling you in their reports. You'll spend time with real filings from JSE-listed companies and learn to spot the important stuff.

  • Reading financial statements without getting lost
  • Understanding ratio analysis in context
  • Comparing companies within sectors
  • Building basic financial models
  • Writing analysis that makes sense

Sector Analysis Track

20 weeks

Deep work on specific industries—mining, retail, financial services, telecommunications. Each sector has its own quirks and metrics that matter. We focus on three sectors per cohort and rotate them based on what's moving in the market.

  • Industry-specific financial metrics
  • Regulatory environment impact
  • Competitive positioning analysis
  • Supply chain and operational drivers
  • Market cycle understanding

Advanced Research Track

24 weeks

For people who already know the basics and want to develop research frameworks. This is about building your own analytical approach, finding data sources others miss, and putting together investment theses or strategic recommendations.

  • Proprietary research methodologies
  • Alternative data integration
  • Thesis development and testing
  • Risk assessment frameworks
  • Presentation to decision makers

Upcoming 2026 Cohorts

February Intake

Starts February 10, 2026

Foundation Track and Sector Analysis Track. Registration closes January 27. We're capping this one at 24 people per track because March gets busy and we want to keep attention on everyone.

June Intake

Starts June 8, 2026

All three tracks available. This is usually our largest cohort. Registration opens April 15, closes May 25. Good timing if you're planning around mid-year budget cycles at your company.

September Intake

Starts September 14, 2026

Foundation and Advanced Research tracks. Smaller group, more interaction. Registration opens August 3, closes September 1. This timing works well if you want to finish before year-end.

Who Teaches This

People who've done the work. Not just academics—though some have taught at universities. These are practitioners who still consult, still analyze, still get their hands dirty with real company data.
